(LEXINGTON, KY)-- The Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI) elected new leadership for 2010-2011 at its recent annual meeting in Portland, Oregon. The new leadership is as follows:

President: Linda Wilson-Pauwels

President Elect: Jane Hurd

Chair of the Board: Ethan Geehr

Vice Chair of the Board: Carrie DiLorenzo

Governors: Annie Gough, Joanne Muller, Bang Wong

The AMI is an international organization committed to advancing the understanding of science, medicine and healthcare through visual media. The AMI promotes the competency and professionalism of its members by supporting accredited graduate programs, professional certification, continuing education, an interactive website, annual and regional meetings, and co-sponsorship of the Journal of Biocommuication, a peer-reviewed publication.

The work of AMI members promotes education, research, patient care, public relations, and marketing.
