About the Association of Medical Illustrators

 

Founded in 1945, the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI) is an international organization composed of industry-leading medical illustrators, related professionals, and students of medical illustration. The AMI promote the study and advancement of medical illustration and allied fields of visual communication, and strives to promote understanding and cooperation with the medical and related health science professions.

The annual Salon is an opportunity for professional and student members of the AMI to submit and view the finest in medical and biological visualization. Awards of Excellence and Certificates of Merit are awarded in 12 professional and eight student categories.

The 2005 AMI Salon winning illustrations provided below are copyrighted material. Permission is given here for use of these illustrations by the press in articles or other news reports. Images may not be sold and may not be used in materials for sale without express written permission from the artist. Each use should be accompanied by the credit line listed with the image.
