Dues

Classes of Dues

The AMI has five classes of dues:

  • Professional
  • Associate
  • Trial
  • Student
  • Emeritus

Membership Year

The membership year parallels the calendar year. New members who join during the calendar year have their dues prorated according to the quarter in which they joined. Prorated dues do not apply to trial members or members who have let their membership lapse in the past or current calendar year. Dues notices are mailed in September for the next calendar year. Payment is due no later than January 31.

Dues are considered delinquent when they have not been paid by the end of the dues-payment period. Member dues not paid during this period will receive a notice from AMI Headquarters and a late payment fee of $20 will be assessed. Non-renewed members will be dropped from the membership roster and database and will not have access to the member services area of the website.

Emeritus Status

Any individual who has reached the age of 65, and has been a member in good standing for 30 years, has the option of becoming an Emeritus member. Emeritus members retain all their membership privileges, receive a discounted registration rate for the annual meeting, and may request a permanent reduction in their annual dues to half of the normal rate. This reduction reflects our appreciation for their continued support of the AMI and the value of their contribution to our profession.
